So in case you missed it July was #plasticfreejuly. This started in 2011 and has been gaining momentum each year. I never really thought twice about my waste until recently. I suppose I was ignorant to the effect I was having on the environment. I never really thought that by reducing my waste it would make a difference but having Hunter has changed my perspective on everything. I want him to have the best life possible and that means having a beautiful earth to live on.

From not eating, to fad diets and skinny tea to now...

I am finally at a point in my life where I happy with who I am. I am confident in my skin, in my opinions and I am just living for me. I exercise and eat well to feel great, not because my life is dictated by a number on a scale or by what I think society demands from me. It’s taken till 26, till really becoming a Mum in actual fact for me to finally understand what really matters and it isnt the size of my clothes but how I feel in them.

Intermittent Fasting

A month ago I decided something needed to change. I had become a snacking machine and my body wasn’t liking it at all. I was continuously grazing throughout the day. I was still eating all the right foods, healthy and nutritious foods but my body was reacting poorly. I was also eating right from the moment I woke up, 5:30am and basically until I went to sleep 9pm. For a good few weeks I was never hungry because I was constantly snacking. Half way there...

So it’s official. I’m half way through my Vegan Bowls for Vegan Souls Cookbook. 50 out of 100 recipes made. I said I wanted to cook all 100 recipes from the beginning but even I was expecting to come a across a few recipe fails. I promise you when I say that I am yet to be disappointed, and I haven’t had a recipe fail me!

My new best friend in the kitchen

Vegan Bowls for Vegan Souls. I knew I wanted a copy of this cook book as soon as I saw the title. I was lucky enough to get the book with my coconut bowl for Christmas, and could not have been more excited. I am quite confident in the kitchen and normally don’t follow a recipe, but as soon as I opened this cook book I knew I wanted to recreate every page.
