Raw Chocolate Caramel Tart



  • 1 cup dates, pitted and soaked 
  • 1 cup oats
  • 1 cup shredded coconut 
  • 1 tbsp Cacao Powder 
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil 

Caramel filling

  • 1/2 cup dates
  • 1 tbsp blackstrap molasses 
  • 3 tbsp vegan butter 

Chocolate filling

  • 1 1/4 cup dark vegan chocolate 
  • 3/4 cup coconut milk 
  • 1.5 tbsp coconut oil 


  1. Blend all base ingredients together in a food processor and press into a tart tin and place in fridge. 
  2. Heat the caramel filling ingredients on a low heat and then blend into a paste spread evenly over the base and place in fridge
  3. Heat all chocolate filling ingredients in sauce pan on a low heat. Once all combine pour over caramel layer and set in fridge for 3 hours. 

Serves 16 people.
