Beetroot Berry Blast Smoothie Bowl

This bowl is jam packed with Vitamin C - the immune boosting smoothie! Beetroot adds such a beautiful flavour and colour to any smoothie bowl, not to mention it brings with it a whole heap of benefits from lowering blood pressure to helping with detoxification of the body. 

Note:

  • With the addition of any green vegetables you boost your nutrients in the morning and you can't even tell the difference!
  • Freeze all the fruit the night before as this will not only make your smoothie refreshing but it will make it creamy as well.
  • The amount of water/milk you add will vary depending on your blender.

Ingredients

  • 2 Frozen Bananas
  • 1/2 raw beetroot
  • 1/2 kiwi fruit
  • 1/4 cup raspberries
  • 1/2 mango flesh
  • 1/4 cup strawberries
  • 1/2 mango flesh
  • 1/2 cup water or milk of choice

Method

  1. Place all ingredients into a blender and blend until combined
  2. Pour smoothie into a bowl and top with your favourites. This one is topped with pomegranate seeds, dried cranberries, mango, raspberries, fresh mint, echinacea petals, shredded coconut, hemp seeds, goji berries and chia seeds.

Makes 2 smoothie bowls
